Thrift store raising money for domestic violence shelter

CABOT, Ark. (KTHV) - The Cabot Safe Haven Thrift Store is fundraising for a county shelter used to provide a place of refuge for victims of domestic violence.

The thrift store exists to suppport the work of the Lonoke County Safe Haven, who's mission is to provide hope of healing and independence to domestic violence victims. During the month of November, the store will be having a sale on Thursdays.  If customers bring in a brown grocery store bag, they can fill it with clothing items for just $15.

The store is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is located in the Cabot mini-mall located in downtown Cabot.

The Lonoke County Safe Haven has their annual fall fundraiser, Jeans and Jewels, coming up on Saturday, November 7.  It will be at Pinnacle Lodge, and tickets are $65.  There will be live music, dancing, great food and drinks and a silent auction. All proceeds go to the Lonoke County Safe Haven.

If someone is interested in tickets, they can contact Sallye Beth Jordan at 501-207-3843 or sallye.jordan@cps.k12.ar.us."
