Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office holding checkpoints on New Year's Eve

Lonoke County Sheriff’s Department will be conduct sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols and stepped up enforcement through the New Years Holiday.

The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office will be out in force looking for all drunk drivers with an emphasis on violators of Arkansas’ Underage DUI Law, DWI, DUI DRUGS and Driving on Suspended Drivers License.

Cabot Public Schools National Merit semifinalists announced for 2010-2011

Congratulations to the following students for their recognition as National Merit Semi-Finalists for the 2010-11 school year: Layne Bernardo, Alyssa Cantrell, Tony Cardillo, Daniel Carman, Logan Graham, Will Otter, Carson Patterson, Brad Puder, Kevan Sharp, Hayden Summerhill, Kaki Thomas.  Students' scores on the PSAT/NMSQT qualify them for this prestigious recognition for their outstanding academic achievement. 

About 16,000 students, or approximately one-third of the 50,000 high scorers, are notified that they have qualified as Semifinalists. To ensure that academically talented young people from all parts of the United States are included in this talent pool, Semifinalists are designated on a state representational basis. They are the highest scoring entrants in each state.

NMSC provides scholarship application materials to Semifinalists through their high schools.
