CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - A Conway non-profit organization, Renewal Ranch, is hosting a 'Rally for Recovery' event inviting the community to stand against what addiction can do to our society and families. 

On Friday, May 22 crowds of people will join together at the Conway Expo Center to join the fight against addiction and drug and alcohol abuse.

Rehabilitation facility Renewal Ranch is a faith based organization for adult men 21 years of age or older and is located at 75 Lake Drive in Houston, Ark. The organization includes 15 different pastors and teachers from all over central Arkansas who teach these men about the damage of addiction.

Tickets are being sold for $20 at the North Branch of First Security Bank and the Central Baptist Church in Conway. Patron tables, which include six tickets, are for sale at $250.  There will be catfish and other foods being served.

Joint operation leads to multiple arrests on drug charges

JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KTHV)  - The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office along with the Jacksonville Police Department and the Cabot Police Department served a search warrant to the residence of 505 South Stagecoach Road in Lonoke County Tuesday, April 21, leading to the discovery of large amounts of illegal narcotics and firearms. 

When officers entered the residence off Stagecoach Road, they found approximately 26 grams of methamphetamine in individual baggies, numerous prescription narcotic pills, drug paraphernalia, seven firearms to include a stolen firearm and $1,387 dollars. 

Suspects that were taken into custody include:

  • Cathy Joe Sneed of Cabot
  • Bonnie Holden of Cabot
  • Randy Holden of Cabot
  • Donald Bredenberg of Jacksonville

A couple taking photos outside homes now suspects of theft

AUSTIN, Ark. (KTHV) - A couple is wanted for stealing outdoor items in a residential neighborhood off Pershing Street in Austin, Ark. Saturday.

The Austin Police Department received a call about suspicious activity in the Pershing Street neighborhood Saturday. Residents stated that a male and female were driving around in a dark colored Hyundai Santa Fe asking about the homes in the area and taking photographs.

An owner of one the residents off Pershing Street later reported stolen property from outside of their home. 

One of the suspects was described as a white female with long curly dark hair and tattoos. Her accomplice was said to be a bald white man with a goatee.

Workshop promotes responsible interactions with law enforcement

CONWAY, Ark. (UCA) - The University of Central Arkansas Division of Outreach and Community Engagement will host a free workshop, titled RESPOND-I-BILITY, that will address ways individuals should respond when encountering law enforcement officers.

The workshop will be held in the UCA Student Center, Room 213, from 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 9. The public is invited to this free workshop.

Author and historian Edmond Davis will facilitate RESPOND-I-BILITY. The vision of RESPOND-I-BILITY is to raise awareness and show how each citizen (“I”) has the ability to respond responsibly when engaging with all officers of the law. The presentation is designed to address cultural and social etiquette skills for all Americans when encountering officers of the law.
