Required workshop for substitute teachers

CABOT, Ark. - The Substitute Teacher Training for new substitutes for Cabot School District will be held on Thursday, January 27, from 8:30 a.m. until 12.00 p.m.  The workshop will be held at the Central Administrative Office. You must complete all paper work by 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 14, at the Central Administrative Office and attend the workshop before you can substitute teach for Cabot School District. 

There will be a workshop for returning substitutes on Thursday, January 27 from 1:00p.m. to 2:30p.m. at the Central Administrative Office.

School gives parents online access

Cabot Public Schools welcomes parents to view their child's grades online.  The district uses the Pinnacle Parent Viewer by Excelsior that allows parents and students to view student attendance records, schedules, grades, assignments, and progress reports. Parents can gain access through the school’s website at http://cabot.k12.ar.us/.

Cabot Public Schools National Merit semifinalists announced for 2010-2011

Congratulations to the following students for their recognition as National Merit Semi-Finalists for the 2010-11 school year: Layne Bernardo, Alyssa Cantrell, Tony Cardillo, Daniel Carman, Logan Graham, Will Otter, Carson Patterson, Brad Puder, Kevan Sharp, Hayden Summerhill, Kaki Thomas.  Students' scores on the PSAT/NMSQT qualify them for this prestigious recognition for their outstanding academic achievement. 

About 16,000 students, or approximately one-third of the 50,000 high scorers, are notified that they have qualified as Semifinalists. To ensure that academically talented young people from all parts of the United States are included in this talent pool, Semifinalists are designated on a state representational basis. They are the highest scoring entrants in each state.

NMSC provides scholarship application materials to Semifinalists through their high schools.
