CABOT, Ark. (KTHV) -- 9-year-old Chase Reed was injured in an accident involving a gun back in May.

He was helping on his grandfather’s farm. When he got off his grandfather’s tractor, there was a gun propped up by the door. It fell and went off.

The shot took off much of his hand.

Now, after five surgeries and eight months of rehab and, Chase has been cleared to return to the sport he loves: BMX racing. He is set to compete this weekend in Cabot.
